Exciting news! Almost a full year after the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine was introduced, it is now available for children ages 5-11. As with all other vaccines it has been thoroughly evaluated prior to the FDA making it available for your child.
Why should you vaccinate your 5-11 year old? Well, although it is true most children have a mild illness with COVID-19, there have been childhood deaths and some children have had long term after effects. Also, most of the treatments available for COVID-19 are only authorized for children older than 12.
Vaccinating your 5-11 year old will not only protect them, but also reduce the chance of them spreading COVID-19 to their friends and family.
